【化城喩品七箇の大事】

第三 諸母涕泣の事

御義口伝に云く、諸母とは諸は十六人の母と云う事なり。
実義には母とは元品の無明なり、此の無明より起る惑障を諸母とも云うなり、流転の時は無明の母とつれて出で、還滅の時は無明の母を殺すなり。
 無明の母とは念仏禅真言等の人人なり、而随送之とは謗人を指すなり。(注)
然りと雖も、終に法華経の広宣流布顕れて、天下一同に法華経の行者と成る可きなり。

「随至道場還欲親近」是なり。



而随送之とは謗人を指すなり
日蓮大聖人は、「諸母、涕泣して、随いて之を送る」との化城喩品の文、つまり十六人の王子が、大通智勝仏の下で修行する為に出家するのを涕泣して引き留めようとする諸母の存在は、末法鎌倉の世では、法華経の行者を妨げる念仏禅真言等の謗法の人人に当たると断じておられます。

【化城喩品七箇の大事】

第二 大通知勝仏の事 (注)
 
御義口伝に云く、大通は心王なり、智勝は心数なり。大通は迹門、智勝は本門なり、大通智勝は我等が一身なり。

今、日蓮等の類い南無妙法蓮華経と唱え奉る者は大通なり、題目を唱うるは智勝なり。
法華経の行者の智は権宗の大智よりも百千万倍勝れたる所を、智勝と心得可きなり。

大は色法、通は心法なり、我等が生死を大通と云うなり。此の生死の身心に振舞う起念を智勝とは云うなり。
爰を以て之を思うに、南無妙法蓮華経と唱え奉る行者は大通智勝仏なり、十六王子(注)とは我等が心数なり云云。



大通知勝仏
釈尊の過去世に三千塵点劫と言う遥か久遠に大通智勝仏という仏が存在した。大通智勝仏は出家する前は国王で、16人の王子がいた。
国王が出家して悟り大通智勝仏となると、16王子も皆出家し大通智勝仏から法華経の説法を受け成道した。本品で釈尊はその16人の王子の一人であったと説かれている。

【化城喩品七箇の大事】

第一 化城の事

御義口伝に云く、化とは色法なり城とは心法なり。

此の色心の二法を無常と説くは、権教の心なり。

法華経の意は、無常を常住と説くなり、化城即宝処(注)なり。


 所詮今日蓮等の類い、南無妙法蓮華経と唱え奉る者は、色心妙法と開くを化城即宝処と云うなり。

十界皆化城・十界各各宝処なり。化城は九界なり、宝処は仏界なり。化城を去つて宝処に至ると云うは五百由旬の間なり。此の五百由旬とは見思塵沙無明なり。
 此の煩悩の五百由旬を妙法の五字と開くを、化城即宝処と云うなり。化城即宝処とは即の一字は南無妙法蓮華経なり、念念の化城、念念の宝処なり。


 我等が色心の二法を無常と説くは権教なり、常住と説くは法華経なり。

 無常と執する執情を滅するを、即滅化城と云うなり。化城は皮肉、宝処は骨なり。

 色心の二法を、妙法と開覚するを化城即宝処の実体と云うなり。

 実体とは無常常住・倶時相即・随縁不変・一念寂照なり。

 一念とは南無妙法蓮華経・無疑曰信(注)の一念なり、即の一字心を留めて之を思う可し云云。



化城即宝処

法華経で説かれる7つの比喩の一つ。化城喩品第七で下記のように説かれている。

「宝のある所(宝処)に向かって遥かな長旅をする人々がいた。しかし険しい道程で皆が疲れ、歩みが止まった。そこで導師が、神通力で仮想の城(化城)を出現させ、疲れた人々を休息させて癒した。

人々が宝処に到達したと満足しているのを見て、導師はこれは貴方がたを休息させるための仮の城で、本当の宝処はすぐ近くにあると説き、再び宝処に向かって真の宝処に導いた」

この譬喩の中の導師は仏を意味し、旅する人々は衆生を意味する。

さらに化城は二乗(声聞・縁覚)の悟り、宝処は一乗(仏)の悟りを意味し、仏の化導によって二乗がその悟りから脱し、仏道修行を続けて仏として成道することを示

している。


無疑曰信(むぎわっしん)

天台の法華文句に「疑い無きを信と曰い、明了なるを解と曰う」とある。

ここで重要なのは、疑い無き、であって、決して「疑うな」と言っているのではないことです。つまり疑いを持っても、それが仏の説く文文を理解することで明瞭になり、疑う点がない状態になった状況を意味することです。

日蓮大聖人は佐渡で記した「開目抄」で、「其の義なきは我が身(日蓮自身が)・法華経の行者にあらざるか、此の疑は此の書の肝心・一期の大事なれば、処処にこれをかく上、疑を強くして答をかまうべし」と記され、不信の信徒に対し「日蓮が法華経の行者にあらざるか、どうかの疑いを強く持って、本書(開目抄)を読み、その答えを得なさい」と門下の信徒を諭されています。

【授記品四箇の大事】

第四 宿世因縁 吾今当説の事

 御義口伝に云く、宿世の因縁とは三千塵点の昔の事なり。下根の為に宿世の因縁を説かんと云う事なり。


因縁とは因は種なり、縁は昔に帰る義なり。もとづくと訓ぜり。

 大通結縁の下種にもとづくと云う事を因縁と云うなり。

 
今、日蓮等の類い南無妙法蓮華経と唱え奉るは、過去の因にもとづきたり。

 爰を以て妙楽大師の云く「故に知んぬ。末代一時聞くことを得て聞き、已て信を生ず。事須く宿種なるべし」と。


宿とは大通の往時なり、種とは下種の南無妙法蓮華経なり。

此の下種にもとずくを因縁と云うなり。

本門の意は五百塵点(注)の下種にもとずくべきなり。真実妙法の因に縁くを成仏と云うなり。


五百塵点(五百塵点劫(ごひゃくじんてんごう)

釈尊は法華経の如来寿量品第16で、釈迦族の王宮を出て菩提樹下で成道したという「始成正覚」を打ち破り、無量無辺百千万億那由他劫という遥か久遠に成道し、百千万億那由他阿蘇祇という国(他の星)で衆生を導いてきたと説いた。

その遥か久遠の時間を、以下のように五百塵点劫という譬喩をもちいて弥勒菩薩に解き明かした。

「仮に人が、三千大千世界(宇宙)を、抹って微塵となし、東方五百千万億那由他阿僧祇の国を過ぎて、その微塵から一塵を下すとする。この様に全ての微塵が尽きるまで東に行くとする。

この一塵を下した国と下さなかった国を、さらに全て微塵となし、一塵を一劫(仏教的長遠の時間)とせん。
私は成仏して以来、この時間に過ぎたること百千万億那由阿蘇祇劫なり。

この五百塵点劫という概念はそのまま仏教の宇宙(三千大千世界)観を示しており、宇宙は無始無終で、仏国土(人が住む星)は三千大千世界に無数に存在することを解き明かしている。

【授記品四箇の大事】

第三 捨是身已の事


 御義口伝に云く、此の文段より捨不捨の起りなり。

転捨にして永捨に非ず。転捨は本門なり、永捨は迹門なり。 

 此の身を捨るは、煩悩即菩提、生死即涅槃の旨に背くなり云云。


所詮日蓮等の類い、南無妙法蓮華経と唱え奉るは、捨是身已なり、不惜身命(注)の故なり云云。

 又云く、此の身を捨(ほどこ)すと読む時は、法界に五大(注)を捨(ほどこ)すなり、捨つる処の義に非ず。

 

是の身を捨てて仏に成ると云うは、権門(注)の意なり。

かかる執情を捨つるを、捨是身已と説くなり。

 

 此の文は一念三千の法門なり。捨是身已とは還帰本理、一念三千の意なり。

妙楽大師の当知身土、一念三千、故成道時、称此本理、一心一念、遍於法界と釈するは、此の意なり云云。



不惜身命(ふしゃくしんみょう) 仏道修行に際して身命を惜しまない事。これは決して自分の身を捨てることではく、精進することを意味している。


日蓮大聖人は、御義口伝 涌出品の大事で次のように説いている。
昼夜常精進  為求仏道故 (昼夜に常に精進する。仏道を求めんが為の故なり)

此の文は、一念に億劫の辛労を尽せば、本来無作の三身(仏の命)、念念に起るなり。所謂、南無妙法蓮華経は精進行なり。


権門(ごんもん) 
本門(法華経)に対する言葉。釈尊が晩年の八年間で説いた法華経以前の経(
爾前経:仮の教え)を意味する。


五大
宇宙を構成している次の五つの要素[地・水・火・風・空]

日蓮大聖人は地・水・火・風・空について【三世諸仏総勘文教相廃立】で次の様に解き明かされております。
『一切諸法は皆是れ仏法なりと知りぬれば諸法を通達す即ち非道を行うとも仏道を成ずるが故なり、天地水火風は是れ五智の如来なり、一切衆生の身心の中に住在して片時も離るること無きが故に、世間と出世と和合して心中に有つて心外には全く別の法無きなり、故に之を聞く時立所に速かに仏果を成ずること滞り無き道理至極なり』と。

12. Outbreak of the major earthquake of Shoka that led to the protest to the nation.(2)

It was this time. The floor of the thatched hut has begun to shake.

All members make noise. Kingo ordered it.

“It is the earthquake! Please be quiet, everybody. Open the window and the door!”.

Kingo who had flown into a rage until a while ago, directed everybody calmly. When an earthquake was generated, people cannot escape outside if they did not open a door and a window. If a building collapsed, they would be in danger of being crushed to death.

Earthquakes were frequent in Kamakura in these days, and it was not unusual. But wavering is big among other things tonight.

At the same time, the hall of the Kamakura Shogunate regent shook little by little. A paper-screen has begun to rattle.

Tokiyori Hojo stood and watched over a ceiling.

Brothers of Tokimune and Tokisuke came over here in a hurry.

“Dad!”

“This is big. Call out soldiers, gather hastily”.

Brothers leave panicking.

The floors hook up and down then.

Tokiyori shouts.

“A vertical vibration!”.

The whole town of Kamakura shakes like a wave.

While inhabitants took out household effects, they screamed. They went out and clustered around a well. The voice of the person sounded then from a well. Eerie sound echoes. Inhabitants were scattered again.

Furthermore, the ground rolled intensely again, and a private house has begun to collapse without standing.

Screaming sounds.

The room of Nichiren greatly shook, too.

"Here is dangerous. Everybody, please escape out!".

The house was lacerated to the two as soon as he said, and the ground where the crack was appeared from the floor bottom.

They scream out a warning.

The scroll of sutras which Nichiren cherished rolls over. Nichiren seized it in an instant when a scroll of sutras fell. The surrounding disciples held him and protect hard.

Under moonlight, the thatched hut was destroyed mercilessly. The pale moonlight lights up the scene that was too horrible to look at.

Flame breaks out in the various places of the town.

Disciples gathered and confirmed each one while the people escape about street.

“Is it all right? Is there a injury? Is there everybody? Is there the missing person?”.

Shijo Kingo, Jonin and others who held a torch in a hand wait.

Nichiren told it to believers.

“Everybody, please go home as soon as possible”.

Kingo nodded.

“Certainly, let's go”.

All members leave in every direction, and Chikugobo Nichiro and other disciples remain at the place where the thatched hut has stood.

It seemed they were a little relieved and seemed to burst into tears.

“Priest, all of us are safe. This is nothing short of miraculous”.

As Nichiren remembered it, he groaned.

“How are children doing? Are two people safe?’.

All members turned pale and searched for all the area.

“Halloo, Kumao, Takao!”.

They found Takao falling down in the side of the building which collapsed before long. Kumao crouches down at the side and is crying.

“Takao!”.

They rushed, but there is not the breath of Takao.

Nichiren held Takao who is like sleeping and continued chanting the daimoku.

When an aftershock subsided, Takao was mourned by the title of the Lotus Sutra, and his body was cremated in that midnight by Nichiren and disciples.

The houses which were crushed lined up at the town of Kamakura in the morning.

Every family cried in the side of the dead body which lay in the ground.

This earthquake disaster was called the major earthquake of Shoka later. It is said that it was 7.5 magnitude from seven. Every building of Kamakura fell down without staying. The Kamakura Hachiman Shrine inclines mercilessly, too. The Mirror of the East mentions this earthquake specially.


"August 23. The major earthquake in about 8 p.m.. Heard a sound. The Shinto shrine and the Buddhist temple broke without exception. The mountains collapsed, and the person and the house turned over. The earthen wall is perfectly damaged, and the ground of several places is split, and water springs out. The ground around the Nakageba Bridge was split, and a flame blazed from here and appeared. It is said that the color was blue".


A roof was attached to the earthen wall in those days. Because it is said that this was damaged all, we can understand how an earthquake was huge.

Disciples of Nichiro and Nissho and others have begun to clear away the traces of the ruins from the next morning. Boy Kumao who barely survived endures sorrow and helps them. Kumao lost Takao who grew like brothers under Nichiren.

All members put hands together to the stupa which was written Nam -myoho-renge-kyo after they cleared up it almost.

However, there is not a figure of Nichiren here.

Nichiren told disciples that he went to Iwamoto Jissoji temple early in the morning. He has already left by himself.

12. Outbreak of the major earthquake of Shoka that led to the protest to the nation.

Audience gathered in the Matsuba valley.

Other than the believer of the Shijo Kingo, Toki Jonin, Yoshitaka Kudo, and Ikegami brothers, there is the priest of the black clothes who is the strange face.

Two children either come in the side of the dirt floor and look at the state of affairs. Two people who were an orphan began an under servant for Nichiren naturally since they received kindness of the food and house. Nichiren called a boy Kumao and Takao each and loved them.

Nichiren wears a grey robe in the body and talks to audience.

“Who is a person destroying Law of Buddha? Is it a person in authority or is it the mere common people? It is not so. The priest who is loved with an excellent Buddhist priest by everybody, and collects respect of the world, he will destroy the Buddha's Law. The sutra says 'an insect inside lion eats lion'. Other enemies are hard to break law of Buddha. A very priest in the Law of Buddha will become a person destroying Law of Buddha”.

The Buddhist priest of black clothes interrupted.

“You, Nichiren. Whom does the priest mean? No, that don't remind me of somebody”.

Nichiren answers calmly.

It is priest Gokurakuji Ryōkan”.

A stir happens in audience. The believers of Nichiren either looked like being surprise.

The Buddhist priest of black clothes rebukes it.

“Why do you say such a mad thing? Priest Ryokan is said to be the living Buddha in this Kamakura. He makes a checkpoint and collects door moneys while making a bridge in the deep river and making a road on the rough land. Something is wrong with you about saying such holy person is an insect in lions”.

Nichiren answers.

“Priest Ryokan saves treasures and is assuming loan and moneymaking behavior now when we watch act of him. Is it the style of the priest? Who will believe this? It is troublesome to establish the barrier for a traveler. It is happening under our nose. Do you not look?”.

The Buddhist priest of black clothes strongly refutes Nichiren.

"Priest Ryokan is believed by lord Kamakura thickly even if you say anything. He is not vulgar social position like you. The power of the priest is accumulated finally because there is the upper confidence. When there is not faiths of lord Kamakura, there is not the effect even if you tell a just argument so much”.

Nichiren returns it with fortitude.

“If lord Kamakura is a benevolent lord, he should be able to understand the Lotus Sutra surely. Do not laugh. In yore, there was King Ajatashatru accompanied with Shakyamuni, the emperor of Chen Sui in the Great Teacher Tientai, and the Emperor Kanmu with the Great Teacher Dengyo. I only believe it now”.

The priest of black clothes left laughingly.

Shijo Kingo was angry. He heard quietly, but he cannot stand.

“What a rude Buddhist priest he is! I question him severely”.

Nichiren stopped him.

"Wait, Lord Kingo. Leave him alone. He came to wait and see us”.

Short-tempered Kingo has a fit without hearing stop of Nichiren. Nichiren persuaded him as if cooled mind down of Kingo.

“He is not an attitude hearing a sermon from a beginning. It is because they are not calm in propagation of our Lotus sect”.


After troubles were finished, Nichiren introduced the new disciple to everybody.

“By the way, I introduce him because a promising youth became a disciple in our sect”.

The young Buddhist priest put both hands on the floor.

“My name is Sanmibo Nichigyo. The conditions of the clergy and laity are different, but let's work hard at propagation of the Lotus Sutra in perfect harmony”.

Sanmibo bowed to everybody with a very proud facial expression.The all members lower the head to Sanmibo deeply, too.

Yoshitaka Kudo raised a voice unintentionally.

“Gee, before we knew it, this hall of the priest became lively, didn't it?”.

Kingo says exaggeratedly.

“It is no wonder that priest Ryokan wants to look in this!”.

All members laughed.

【授記品四箇の大事】

第二 迦葉光明の事


 御義口伝に云く、光明とは一切衆生の相好なり。

 光とは地獄の灯燃猛火、此れ即ち本覚自受用の智火なり。乃至仏果之れ同じ。


 今、日蓮等の類い、南無妙法蓮華経の光明を謗法の闇冥の中に指し出だす。此れ即ち迦葉の光明如来(注)なり。

迦葉は頭陀を本とす。頭陀は爰に抖そう(物を払い去る)と云うなり。


 今末法に入つて余行を抖そうして、専ら南無妙法蓮華経と修するは、此経難持○行頭陀者(注)是なり云云。



迦葉の光明如来 

迦葉は頭陀(行)第一と称された釈尊十大弟子の一人。

釈迦滅後、500人の阿羅漢(一定の悟りを得た高僧)が、半年以上かけて釈尊50年の説法を取りまとめた、所謂「第一回の仏典結集」を最長老の直弟子として主催した。

また妙法蓮華経 授記品第六で、釈尊より未来世で「光明如来」となるという記別を受ける。


此経難持○行頭陀者 

妙法蓮華経・宝塔品第十で説かれた下記の偈(初めと終わり)

此の経は持ち難し。若し暫くも持つ者は、我即ち歓喜す、諸仏も亦然なり。是の如きの人は、諸仏の歎めたもう所なり。是れ則ち勇猛なり、是れ則ち精進なり、是れを戒を持ち、頭陀を行ずる者と名く。

11. Enemy of Buddhism in the life of Nichiren. Ryōkan of Gokurakuji Temple. (3)

A child came over and put his both hands on the floor in front of Ryokan.

"Teacher. It's time".

Ryōkan nodded and stood up. It is time for sermon.

He goes ahead through the long corridor.

The disciple of the attendant let him change a caparison of Ryokan and changed it into a simple canonical robe. The appearance of the charity monk must not be gorgeous.

The main hall of a Buddhist temple was crowded with several hundred audience.

The noise is continued.

When dozens of disciples appeared there including Ryokan in the lead, a shout of joy echoed.

“Priest Ryokan!”.

Women exclaim and shed tears and cover the face with a sleeve. Men waved their hand and called the name of Ryokan. Buddhist priest and nuns put hands together and advocate Nembutsu.

It is a place of the sermon of the priest and the outlandish scene of which cannot think.

Shigetoki Hojo admired the enthusiasm that spent a immoderate degree for Ryokan of the common people of Kamakura.

Ryokan answered with a smile in a place of the sermon.

A shout of joy does not readily stop. Ryōkan was praised as the holiest priest now in Kamakura, he was a charisma who is said in the present times.

When Ryokan cleared his throat lightly before long, the hall finally fell silent.

“Thank you for coming during a busy time of yours. I will teach you eight Buddhist commandments today. It is the teachings of religious precepts. The person who wants to sleep sleeps wouldn't be a problem.”

Children chuckle, and their heads were given a light poke by parents.

There were Kyoninbo Nichigyo and Chikugobo Nichiro of the disciple of Nichiren in audience.

Kyoninbo stood up.

“Priest Ryōkan. We respect priest Ryōkan. Anyone of Kamakura loves the holy priest”.

It was a sudden remark, but Ryokan nodded smilingly.

“The road became large, and the port was maintained thanks to priest Ryokan and became still more livable than before. It's thanks to priest Ryokan”.

Ryōkan smiled at him.

“You are praising me too much”.

Laughter happens in audience. It was good until here.

Nichiro had a smile and stood up.

“However, such a construction will have trouble. The trouble needs the expenditure of the money in particular. You take a rice of the common people at the checkpoint and buy up the wood of the mountain and sell highly. Such a project will be difficult if you do not do so”.

The spectators began to talk in whispers.

“If it is not priest Ryokan, a person cannot behave such a way. You are really precious. From old days a priest of the Ritsu sect is good at business and borrowing and loaning the money, isn't it?”.

Kyoninbo speaks rapid continuously.

“If it is a true priest, he should know the depth of the Buddhism, and it thinks with a true priest who show a way of becoming Buddha to people, but you do not seem to be able to fit into the priest, don't you?”.

Ryōkan cocked an eye at disciples. Buddhist priests of Gokurakuji send away two people while the hall rustles.

When Kyoninbo goes away, he shouted.

“I am called Kyoninbo Nichigyo of the disciple of priest Nichiren who lives in the valley of Matsuba”.

“Similarly, I am Chikugobo Nichiro”.

“Priest Nichiren is telling that the Lotus Sutra is the best religious teachings. If wants to hear sermon, please come to the valley of Matsuba!”.

Two people were rushed and were gone.

Still Ryokan was smiling.

“They are amusing character”.

And he assumed a grave look for an instant.


The believers of Nembutsu became terribly afraid whereas Nichiren attacked them with the text of basic sutra.

It was unjust, they bend a doctrine of Honen of the teacher and tried for defence.

Though Honen had denied all denominations in 'the Selection of Nembutsu', the believers of Nembutsu bent a doctrine by severe accusation of Nichiren and has begun to advocate the rebirth on the pure land by the various ascetic practices.

Nichiren accuses the worse change in doctrine of desperation of the Nembutsu priests sharply.


“Until some seven or eight years ago, they asserted widely and irresponsibly that practices other than the Nembutsu could never lead to rebirth in the Pure Land. The Reverend Shantao declared 'even one person in a thousand' cannot be rescued. In addition, in Honen's 'the Selection of Nembutsu', he urged people to abandon various practices and likened those who followed them to a band of robbers. Then, in these last four or five years, the person appeared who preached a different doctrine, asserting that there are sutras proving that those who urge others to chant the Nembutsu as advocated in 'the selection of Nembutsu' are in fact slandering the Law, and that both the Nembutsu priests and their followers are destined to fall into the hell of incessant suffering. When this doctrine first appeared, the Nembutsu believers uniformly doubted, exclaiming, ‘Who are the evil heretics who insist that reciters of the Nembutsu will fall into the hell of incessant suffering?’. But then they began to realize some reasons why Nembutsu believers were fated to fall into the hell of incessant suffering. One by one, they proceeded to examine 'the Selection of Nembutsu' more closely. And, perhaps because they realized that in fact it is a writing that slanders the Law, they rejected its assertion that as 'not even one person in a thousand' cannot be rescued by other practices, and each of them came to accept the view that practices other than the Nembutsu can lead to rebirth in the Pure Land. But this was merely something that they proclaimed with their mouths. In their minds, they continued as before to believe that “not even one person in a thousand”. The lay followers of Nembutsu are unaware that their inner minds are slandering the Law. Deceived by pronouncements that practices other than the Nembutsu can lead to rebirth in the Pure Land, the lay believers seem to become thinking that the Nembutsu proponents are not in fact slandering the Lotus Sutra and that it is wrong for the upholders of the sacred teachings to accuse them of slandering of the Lotus Sutra. They say that other practices can lead to rebirth in the Pure Land, these Nembutsu proponents are committing a greater slander of the Law than those who openly declared that not one person in a thousand can be saved by such practices. While at the same time making others believe that there was not fault on their doctrine, they are plotting to spread only the Nembutsu. 末法の本仏の立場で法華経一部二十八品を直弟子日興上人に口伝した書【御義口伝 上】要点解説(34)

【薬草喩品五箇の大事】


第四 破有法王出現世間の事

 御義口伝に云く、有とは謗法の者なり。破とは折伏なり。法王とは法華経の行者なり。世間とは日本国なり。

 又云く、破は空、有は仮、法王は中道なり。

 

されば此の文をば、釈迦如来の種子と伝うるなり。惣じて三世の諸仏の出世は、此の文に依るなり。

 有とは三界廿五有なり。破とは有執を破するなり。

 法王とは十界の衆生の心法なり。王とは心法を云うなり。諸法実相と開くを破有法王とは云うなり。


 今、日蓮等の類い南無妙法蓮華経と唱え奉るは、謗法の有執を断じて、釈迦法王と成ると云う事なり。

 破有の二字を以て釈迦如来の種子とは云うなり。

 又云く有と云うは我等が煩悩生死なり、此の煩悩生死を捨てて別に菩提涅槃有りと云うは権教権門の心なり。


今経(注)の心は、煩悩生死を其の儘置いて、菩提涅槃と開く所を破と云うなり。

 有とは煩悩、破とは南無妙法蓮華経なり。有は所破なり、破は能破なり。能破・所破共に実相の一理なり。


序品の時は尽諸有結と説き、此の品には破有法王と説き、譬喩品の時は皆是我有と宣べたり云云。



今経
已今当(いこんとう)の内の今教

已経は已に説いた経を示し、法華経已然に説いた権大乗経(華厳経、般若経等)、小乗経(阿含経)等を意味する。
今教は今説いている経で、妙法蓮華経を示す。
当経は法華経以後に説いた普賢経、涅槃経を示す。

日蓮大聖人は【法華取要抄】で次のように説かれておられます。取要抄
『夫れ諸宗の人師等或は旧訳の経論を見て新訳の聖典を見ず或は新訳の経論を見て旧訳を捨置き或は自宗の曲に執著して己義に随い愚見を注し止めて後代に之を加添す。株杭に驚き騒ぎて兎獣を尋ね求め智円扇に発して仰いで天月を見る非を捨て理を取るは智人なり。

 今、末の論師・本の人師の邪義を捨て置いて専ら本経本論を引き見るに、五十余年の諸経の中に法華経第四法師品の中の已今当の三字最も第一なり』と。
