末法の本仏の立場で法華経二十八品を後継者、日興上人に口伝した書【御義口伝 下】要点解説(120)

【二十八品に一文充の大事 】
合せて二十八箇条の大事秘す可し云云

序品

十界也 始覚
於無漏実相 心已得通達(注)
妙法 不変 随縁

此の文は、我が心、本より覚なりと始めて覚るを成仏と云うなり。
所謂、南無妙法蓮華経と始めて覚る題目なり。




於無漏実相 心已得通達
妙法蓮華経序品第一の後段の下記の偈にある文
[原文]
我若滅度時 汝等勿憂怖 是徳蔵菩薩 於無漏実相 心已得通達 其次当作仏
[和訳]
我、若し滅度の時、汝等ら勿く憂怖えん。是れ、徳蔵菩薩は実相を漏れ無い事に於いて、心は已に通達を得て其の次に当に仏に作れり。

Gosho 勧持品十三箇の大事  Thirteen important points in the chapter of Encouraging Devotion.

第九 或有阿練若の事

(あるい)()(れん)(にゃ)(のう)()にして(くう)(げん)に在り、(みずか)ら真の道を行ずと(おも)いて人間を軽賤(きょうせん)する者有らん、

Point Nine, on the passage “Or there will be forest-dwelling monks / wearing clothing of patched rags and living in retirement, / who will claim they are practicing the true way, / despising and looking down on all humankind. /

9th. Or there will be monk wearing shabby robes, he will place themselves in quiet and distant surroundings. And being proud that he does the true religious practice, he looks down upon all others.

()(よう)(とん)(じゃく)するが故に白衣(びゃくえ)()めに法を説いて世に()(ぎょう)せらるること六通(ろくつう)羅漢(らかん)の如くならん、

Greedy for profit and support, / they will preach the Law to white-robed laymen / and will be respected and revered by the world / as though they were arhats who possess the six transcendental powers. /

Possessed by an insatiable desire for wealth and fame, this monk will preach the Law to white-robed laymen. He will be held in reverence by people as if he is arhat endowed with six kinds of divine powers.

常に大衆の中に()つて我等を(そし)らんと欲するが故に、国王・大臣・()羅門(らもん)居士(こじ)及び()比丘(びく)衆に向つて誹謗(ひぼう)して我が悪を説いて是れ邪見(じゃけん)の人・外道(げどう)の論議を説くと()わん

These men with evil in their hearts, / constantly thinking of worldly affairs, / will borrow the name of forest-dwelling monks / and take delight in proclaiming our faults, / saying things like this: / ‘These monks are greedy / for profit and support / and therefore they preach non-Buddhist doctrines / and fabricate their own scriptures / to delude the people of the world’”.

Because they constantly try to defame us among the populace, they will preach the rulers, high ministers, Brahmans, householders, and other laymen, slandering and preaching evil of us, saying, ‘They are people of perverted views who preach non-Buddhist doctrines!'. . .

御義口伝に云はく、第三の比丘なり、(りょう)(かん)等なり、

The Record of the Orally Transmitted Teachings says: This refers to the third of the three powerful enemies who persecute the votaries of the Lotus Sutra, men like Ryōkan.

The orally conveyed teachings say: This means the third of the three powerful enemies who persecute the votaries of the Lotus Sutra, like Ryoukan and others.

(にょ)六通(ろくつう)羅漢(らかん)の人と思ふなり。

Such persons are regarded “as though they were arhats who possess the six transcendental powers”.

Such person is regarded from people “as though he is arhat endowed with six kinds of divine powers.
