GOSHO 立正安国論3  災難の来由三

有るは秘密(ひみつ)真言(しんごん)の教に(よっ)()(びょう)の水を(そそ)ぎ、

There are those who follow the esoteric teachings of the True Word school and conduct rituals in which they fill five jars with water,

Following the esoteric teaching of the Shingon sect, believers conduct a prayer ritual using five vessels that are filled with water.

Or there are those who believe the secret teachings of the Shingon and conduct rituals in which they fill five jars with water.

有るは坐禅(ざぜん)入定(にゅうじょう)の儀を(まっとう)して空観の月を(すま)し、

and others who devote themselves entirely to seated meditation and try to perceive the emptiness of all phenomena as clearly as the moon.

In pursuit of perfecting their Zen meditation practice, some seek to reach the state of emptiness.

And others who meditate entirely to do the zen and try to perceive the emptiness of all phenomena as clearly as the moon.

くは七鬼神の()を書して千門に押し、若しくは五大力を図して万戸に懸け、

Some write out the names of the seven guardian spirits and paste them on a thousand gates, others paint pictures of the five mighty bodhisattvas and hang them over ten thousand thresholds.

Or taking pity on the plight of the common people, the rulers and minister of the nation perform emergency relief measures.
