Gosho 御義口伝（就註法華経口伝）上 Orally Transmitted teachings on the Lotus Sutra Part 1

諸法の心とは妙法蓮華経なり

The heart or core of all phenomena is Myoho-renge-kyo.

伝教云く「法華経を讃(ほ)むると雖(いえど)も還(かえ)つて法華の心を死(ころ)す」と、

The Great Teacher Dengyō says, “Though he praises the Lotus Sutra, in fact he kills the heart of the Lotus.”

死の字に心を留めて之を案ず可し。

You should let your mind dwell in particular on the word “ kill."

所詮日蓮等の類(たぐ)いを以て如是我聞(にょぜがもん)の者と云う可きなり云云。

In effect, then, Nichiren and his followers are persons to whom the phrase “This is what I heard” may apply.
